DESCRIPTION Class 1 Division 2, Group B, C and D hazardous locations.
These cylinder Jackets are designed to insulate and heat cylinders with gas mixtures. They help prevent condensation and gas mixtures from changing their composition by keeping the cylinders warm at lower temperatures. To protect from overheating the cylinders, the Jacket heaters are self-regulating heating cable, that produces more heat in colder ambient temperatures, and reduced output as the environment warms. This design provides compensation for cold temperatures without expensive, elaborate temperature control systems. This dynamic heat works maintain the cylinders at 120°F at 70°F at ambient temperatures, while holding at 60°F as the ambient temperature drops down to 0°F.
The Cylinder Jacket heater circuits are made with materials approved by Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL), and additionally, Factory Mutual (FM) and Canadian Standards (CSA) for use in Class 1 Division 2, Group B, C and D hazardous locations.

Class 1 Division 2, Group B, C and D hazardous locations.
Class 1 A location where there is a danger of explosion due to the presence of a flammable gas or vapor.
Division 2 A location where an explosive mixture of gas, vapor, dust, fibers or flyings and air may exist under abnormal operating conditions, such as accidental rupture of a vessel or a pump seal leak.
Note: The ultimate Jacket temperature maybe affected by wind and other added conductive losses such as clamps, flooring and improperly secured flaps and straps.
Note: All Jackets were tested with the Regulator Hood Covers installed. P/N GCHIJREGHOOD. Also available Cylinder floor pad P/N GCHIJAPAD.
Note: Heater jackets will not heat up cylinders that have already been in freezing cold temperatures. Cylinders should be warm before installing a Heater jacket.
